Billed as a Mini drag fest in every sense of the word, the British Mini Club's annual quarter-mile blast - British Mini Showdown - is a unique event in itself to compliment the clubs extensive 2009 show portfolio.

Believe it or not owners of classic and modern Minis take drag racing very seriously at Shakespeare County Raceway as they try for the top times against the clock and in a quarter of a mile dash. Although the A-series engine is morally still king, there are more and more Vauxhall, V-tec and motorcycle bike powered Minis seen every year.
