Autopendium :: stuff about old cars

Well spoke to Daryl who has unseized the engine. Cheap Vinegar down each of the 8 bores until it would turn by hand (Todays Top Tip).
It had seized due to 18 months without turning over; let that be a lesson folks.
I know we hear about Californian cars that start with a new battery after 20 years stood idle, but Saarf Laaandan doesnt have the same micro climate and even in a dry lockup it still seized.
So in a week or two the leadbelly goes into the workshop to begin the MOT prep. I'll keep you all posted. Meantime still waiting on the fed ex man!
