Clutch slave cylinder fix

Tags: clutch hydraulic

Well, after a year of continually topping up the reservoir with hydraulic fluid, and puddles on the garage floor, I got round to fitting a new slave cylinder. Sourced from the Excellent Victoria British here in the US (they are the best resource for Sunbeam bits here, in my experience), I got it fitted and topped up. Worked fine for a few weeks, but then noticed the clutch pedal getting spongey, and disappearing fluid from the reservoir. After a bit of head scratching, I figured I’d bleed the system again, and hey presto, it worked! Great to have it back in full working order again.
