Friday 13th July, and our annual downtown car show here in Ann Arbor. The streets were closed at 1.00pm, and by mid afternoon around 500 hot rods, classics and race cars were lining the streets. The Tiger was present for it’s first showing of the year. Nearly didn’t make it though, due to carb problems a few days before. A hasty investigation at a local shop led to the discovery of a leaking gasket, and jammed secondary valves - my 4-barrel was running as a 2-barrel. All was fixed though, and I had the car back on the road for an evening blast along the country roads the night before the show.
