It's done! Well, it took a bit of effort and while I should have been watching a sick kitty (who thankfully didn't get sick yesterday), my dad and I spent a few hours running, soldering, and insulating the proper hot wires and one serious ground wire down a bit of conduit into the engine compartment (it looks very back to the future) and then a color-matched, proper set of leads up to the switches under the dash.

And on a typical project, we'd have to go back and fix at least one thing before they worked properly. Perhaps this time it was the one mounting screw that fell out since Monday (very very very minor), but amazingly enough no fuses popped, every light lit up on the correct switch, and everything worked perfectly!!

But the real treat would be after dark when I could see just how much light this all provides! I'll let the pictures explain.
