Spring at last

Tags: lat-58 tail tiger

It’s been a long, cold and snowy winter here in Michigan. It was April before the last of the snow melted, so the Tiger had a long hibernation. There was a brief spell of mild weather towards the end of January when I was able to go for a quick run, but apart from that - no fun. I did make a fine purchase on Ebay - a set of ’60s LAT-58 Tiger Tails, complete with application instructions. Think I might get a repro set made rather than risk sticking these around the rear of the car. Not sure the adhesive will be much cop after all this time any way.
Now that spring is finally here, it was good to wheel the car out of the garage for a first once over. All seems fine - no mice had set up home in it, which is a relief! After a service, I hope to have it on the road for a shakedown in the coming few weeks.
