It starts!
Quick post re the engine rebuild. Had to go down to the lockup today and yesterday for a few hours, so after fastening all the accessories, wiring up the dizzy/coil and filling the engine with coolant, I plucked up the courage to try to start the rebuilt engine.
And you know what, it started first time. Needed a bit of pedal to keep it running, and made a helluva noise (what with only having headers on), but seemed to be all OK.
Killed it after about 15 seconds as I was getting asphyxiated with the fumes (it's a tiny lockup remember), but now I can get onto sorting out the exhaust, brakes and steering.
