So much for the last section of my original Running report...
"The initial idea was to get stuck in and fix the visible rust...but as I have too many ongoing projects in much worse condition I'll do it when I can as the car runs and drives and will be my daily work horse until I get around to fixing it up properly"...
The rust repair is all done, the car has had a full service and it ready to rock and roll...well apart from re-fitting the interior. The newly recovered seats (with original headrests) are also ready to be installed in the car.
Don't ask how much this has all cost so far...as it's more than I'd allowed for in my small budget!
Later this summer I'll tackle the roof rack and might give it a little freshen up, strip and paint the metal and sand the wooden slats down and give them a coat of varnish.
I recently came across a set of 'Cosmic Mkll' rims for the Amazon, as they look very period I bought them. They might look better on a 2 door car, but for now (and with a little photoshop magic) I've added them to the Estate...see the before and after photos.
