My Alpine is a British Racing Green Series III. It's a non-original colour. It's nothing like concours, but not a daily driver either - just my weekend plaything. It's fitted with a later 1725cc block with standard alloy head. It's fed by a single sidedraught Webber. Cog swapping takes place in a standard gearbox with Laycock overdrive.

The car came out of the factory as a GT which meant a hardtop and no folding hood. A previous owner fitted a hood which is just as well because the hardtop still needs a lot of work.

I've added a set of Superlite wheels (Minilite replicas).

The dynamo on my Alpine has been a weak point since I got the car back on the road. Ages ago I started looking for an alternator to fit but discovered the exhaust system was a problem. The exhaust fitted very snuggly around the dynamo leaving no room for an alternator. I tried many different kinds but none would fit. Last week, sick of constantly having to jump start the car, I went to an exhaust shop and had the extractors modified to give me more space.
