I cant believe how long it has been since I posted an update on here! well in the months inbetween the rear sidepanels have been tacked on properly, the doors have been loosely hung to check fit, lots of work has gone into getting the roof on, and at the right height so that the lines work together and some loose metal has been added to the rear to get a feel for how the rear curve will eventuate. tiem for an update as all my finger crossing has paid off. I made the wild assumption that 2 door and 4 door minors were basicallyt the same car with different side panels, and that therefore the sidepanels from a 56 2 door could be carefully removed and fitted to a 54 4 door.

It works! there is a good bit of finetuning to be done but I have gotten it far enough that I can roughly chuck it together and see how it will eventually look.
