Yeah, it used to be a 1946 Ford pickup on a farm somewhere in the souther united states a couple decades ago. MY great uncle purchased it way back when , dropped a '72 olds v-8 in it, and sold it to my dad. When my dad died, my mother asked which of his two classic cars i wanted (a '77 grand prix and the '46 ford). i, of course, chose the pickup. it hasn't run since before i was born, so that puts it at about 20 years of stagnation in a garage. so, i have taken the task upon myself to restore it to it's former glory (and then some!). there's a laundry list of things that need to be repaired and replaced, but i know i can do it.
anyways, on to the condition. from what i can tell, the body is in pretty solid shape for being 70 years old. there's only a few rust holes i can find by just looking, and even then, they're in the back of the cab, near the base. the rest of the rust is just basic age wear. my dad was doing some work on it a few years before he died, like fixing up the brake system. i've got most of the parts lying around my garage, so it's just a matter of restoring them to proper working order.
