Bought this morris minor in January 2005 from Rawalpindi, a city 1500kms away from my hometown Karachi. Got it transported to my home via a car career. It was a complete restoration project and after lot of discussions and advice from other classic car owners its restoration started in February...My dad mainly financed the project. Unofortunately in Pakistan there is very less availibity of classic car parts so we had to discard its original engine and go for nissan 1200 engine though it was a very difficult desicion to make. After days and months of hardwork with engine, suspension, brakes, clutch ( the most difficult part) moggies was on the road again. But there was a lot lot lot of body work to be done. My dad and I conflicted on what color should we paint on the car but finally we decided it would be black. Special thanks to Mr.Sajan (engine), Mr.Ayub (paint job), everyone else who was involved in the project in any way and last but not the least Omer waris, my cousin who was living in St.Albans UK who helped us a lot with the spare parts. Maggie has made one appearance in the annual classic cars show of Pakistan and at a local website's cars get-together.
