Boot nearly done, more decisions needing to be made

Tags: boot bumpers custom details petrol restoration tank

Turned up yesterday to Romance of Rust to find Mark has nearly finished the boot, and with it the rear half. Some nice fabrication there, and some real strength too.

We all had a 10-minute discussion on where to position the petrol tank filler neck, before opting for simplicity (pretty much where it was, just inside the boot), and then I got on with loosening the front suspension and taking apart a replacement set of bumpers (sourced from a donor Amazon Lance had out back -- handy!), so they could go off to be de-chromed (we're prob going make them into single units, without overriders).

So, decision time is approaching on a hole number of things, from small ones (number plate lights) to big ones (the headlights, grill and front). Better get my thinking cap on.
