What does it take to get a car resto'd?

Tags: blasting chroming transport

The answer (apart from the folding stuff) based on this week's endeavours is time, and a working vehicle to act as you delivery van.

Time's a bit tight at the moment, what with this website, but the van has been great, and this week alone has earnt its keep, dropping off and picking up bits from all over West London and beyond.

Yesterday was picking up the crank and other engine internals from Serdi (UK) in Uxbridge, who'd been balancing them (more on that in longer post tomorrow), picking up the machined oil pump from Dutton's Farm just down the road, dropping stuff off with the chromers, in Hillingdon.

Today it was picking up the doors from blasting (just round the corner from Heathrow), picking and dropping stuff off with the chromers, and tomorrow it's more of the same.

Doesn't make for great pics or a riveting entry, but that's what it takes. Oh, and some people who know what they're doing to do the actual work
