Gone for pre-painting

Tags: colour paint painting shaping

I've been tied up with lots of stuff this week, including some behind the scenes work on the site, and having a look at the state of my Camaro's 350 (summary: it needs a full rebuild), so I've not had much time to post about the Amazon.

And there's a lot to post.

First off, the Amazon's gone from Romance of Rust -- was picked up on a covered trailer to go for pre-painting. No pics, as I couldn't be there unfortunately, but Lance at RoR had a good chat to the guy who was doing work and all seems good.

It's going to be gone probably the best part of 4 weeks, as the 'shaper' does his work, creating a pristine surface for the painters (or at least pretty damn good for a 40-odd year old car.

In the meantime we've got to get the rest of the bits ready for when the painting's finished, including obviously the engine, gearbox chrome and interior.

More news on all that to come.
