More rebuild goodness

Sadly, I'm only making it down to Romance of Rust about once a week at the moment, but that does mean there's lots of good stuff to report on.
This week, I got there to find that the new US-spec, all-red rear light assemblies had arrived (sourced from Brookhouse), which look great against the dark blue frenched-in body, as I got there Lance was just filing them to fit. Now we've just got to fit some reflectors behind the lens, and wire up the lights.
Also new arrived was a very sexy 123 electronic ignition system, which I treated myself to on the basis that the old electronic ignition never really worked that well, and I'd heard good reports on this one. What's nice is it looks just like a regular dizzy, but has all sorts of goodies built in. Mark was certainly impressed at how easy it was to set up (once he could read the tiny writing inside it).
The doors are now back from paint, and look great, and the remaining panels (wings, boot, bonnet) were due to be painting today, being polished on Monday. So all being well, they'll be fitted next week, along with the bumpers (which are due from the chromers sometime next week).
I've also ordered the hides for the leather interior -- burgundy seats and charcoal-ish dark blue trim. The headliner will be the same burgundy as the seats but will be skived to make it thinner.
Finally, it's worth mentioning the electrics -- we sourced a new loom via Brookhouse, and it came with a number of warnings, that it may need to be modified, as it was constructed from the the theoretical wiring fo my year of Amazon (rather than what was actually done in the factory). In the end, it went really well, with no significant problems at all.
