I bought this stag after selling my 1500 spitfire and regretted it quite soon afterwards! I must have been wearing rose tinted glasses as the car was a complete bodge job. So followed three and half years of hard graft and financial haemorraging, all outer panels replaced with new or salvaged parts (three wings on one side would you believe and enough body filler to fill a dustbin). Complete engine rebuild with new [pistons, crank, heads etc) all running gear and transmission rebuilt with new parts, plus new or rechromed trim, and I'm still spending!
