1978 Ford Mustang II King Cobra. Found this old racecar in Cape Cod Massachusetts. The car started life as a 1978 King Cobra model and was later modified for circuit racing in SCCA and we also believe the IMSA race series. As the years passed the tires got larger and fender flares followed. The SCCA logbooks go back to 1987 however we suspect it raced earlier. This generation Mustang was built from 1974 to 1978. Engine is 310 cu in, trans is 5 spd and the rear is a Jones quick change. Other than needing a fresh set of driver restraints, this old racer is ready for vintage or current SCCA club racing..
